The Baseline Electrical System Tester (BEST) is a multi-function portable electrical analysis and testing system. BEST's
capabilities include live signal monitoring, signal analysis, data recording, wiring troubleshooting and repair. BEST
eliminates the time consuming process of single wiring testing by automatically testing every pin on a connector.

The D3 selectively records and processes several types of media and data according to contextual and situational requirements. The D3 goes far
beyond simply recording. A new architecture, which employs advanced artificial intelligence techniques, processes data into information and
information into knowledge. On schedule, on event, or on demand, the D3 sends war-fighters up to the minute reports. For the first time, operations
crews shall be made aware of the need for fuel, weapons and repairs before an aircraft lands. Unlike stovepipe recorders, the D3 gathers and fuses
data from multiple data sources before departure or during a mission.
Addressing the problem of obsolescence often plaguing military and commercial airlines, the D3 is designed as a plug-and-play unit for out of date
recorders. The D3 is able to provide the simulated responses necessary for training and drills. From operations to simulators, the D3 provides the
missing link for data.
D3 Information Recorder
Imagine the value of a multi-media recording/processing system, which replaces several legacy systems, adds features for data
centric communications. Development of D3 is a NAVAIR Phase II SBIR project. A project like the D3 would normally take five years
to move through the concept, competition, award, and delivery processes. MSI, with support from a major aerospace manufacturer,
delivered a flight ready unit in 2005.
Embeddable Programmable Instrumentation Circuit
In the past, instrumentation systems and data recorders have been bulky and power hungry.However, MSI has
created a multipurpose module, which provides similar functionality, yet is small enough to fit in an electrical
connector (imagine a module so advanced it can fit into a shirt pocket). The EPIC presents an exciting new
architecture for real time data collection, intelligent processing of data into information, and information into
knowledge. Applications include user intelligent control, diagnostics, prognostics and training.
Sentient Wiring
Sentient Wiring Systems (SWS) are computerized harnesses used for Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) and
automated troubleshooting. Featuring lightweight construction and organized connectivity, SWS are designed as
generic embedded components in the system wiring harness.
